Tampa Housewives: Tell us about your business and how you became the successful businesswoman you are today.
Michelle Hibbard: Your Media Squad was created after developing a passion to help small business owners succeed with their marketing goals. I wanted to take the task of having an online presence off of small businesses to-do lists so they can focus more on closing sales. I have worked with many national and local businesses in the health, beauty, education, and tech industries. I truly enjoy working with small business owners to help develop and launch their individualized digital marketing plan that includes social media, email marketing, event marketing, and copywriting.

Michelle Hibbard: Committed, Caring, Creative
Tampa Housewives: What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
Michelle Hibbard: My greatest professional achievement would have to be launching Your Media Squad. I have always had an entrepreneurial drive, and for so many years I tried different things like network marketing and other areas, but I didn’t feel that I found my right fit until launching Your Media Squad. I am now going on 3 years with my business, and I have never felt more fulfilled.
Tampa Housewives: What are your professional goals for the next six months?
Michelle Hibbard: My goal for the next six months is to have enough business to be able to bring on an up-and-coming young professional who is looking to get a behind the scenes look at what it takes to run a marketing agency. I want to be able to take what I learned and pass it on to the next generation.
Tampa Housewives: What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Michelle Hibbard: Marketing Consulting/Public Speaking
Tampa Housewives: How do you maintain a work/life balance?
Michelle Hibbard: I make sure to give myself at least one hour a day of doing something for myself. Most of the time it is with a good workout but sometimes it is just vegging out on the couch and shutting off my mind. I truly believe giving yourself personal time every day can make or break you when running your own business.

Michelle Hibbard: My goal for retirement is to be able to still run my business but to be able to do it from anywhere in the world while not having to worry about how the bills are going to be paid.
Tampa Housewives: Do you have any advice for women who’d like to start their own company?
Michelle Hibbard: It’s ok to start off small. Just make sure you do something! Commit to doing one thing to move your business forward every day and slowly your dream will become a reality. Be prepared for a lot of ups and downs, but the wins will far outweigh any disappointments.
